My tryst with Python

First of all, it is NOT the snake. For long time now, I was dwelling on the topic of learning a new programming language. I know C++ and BASIC (yeah!!) and basic algorithm. But these were the golden times of school. For over 3 years I have done nothing more than using Windows to play movies.

In short I was searching for a language easy to learn and simple to write along with all the strengths of a complete language. My journey landed me on the shores of Python. It is an interpreted language with an ease in learning (At least there PR is good). Bottom line, I am now learning python and hopefully due to my prior experiences in programming will be uploading a self-made software (a small game maybe!!) soon.

Oh yeah! I know what you are thinking. Maths and logic! How am going to tackle with that. Let’s just say lucky for me, God took care of that for me. Wink

I shall be uploading the lessons I learn from time to time. They will not be comprehensive or something but more like the mistakes and experiments I do. This will hopefully provide you guys with experience. Who says you can not learn from other’s mistakes. Smile

Road trip-1

This is one of the funniest trips I’ve been on. The day started with my night-out thereby leaving me sleepy and tired. Dad asked me to leave him at the nearby bus-stand. I thought- “Well, that is easy. Then I’ll take my sweet old nap.” Alas!

No bus is available. What should be done? Then a ray of light shines and a bulb lightens up. Idea! I asked dad to ask his driver (in the other city) to come half-way and I’ll travel this half. The motive was to save time. Thus began my journey of an hour that somehow became funny.

Traffic jam was the beginning. Swamping and scrambling I moved through the trucks with my not-so-tiny swift. Finally, it was not possible to do so anymore so dad suggested to take the village road. And I was then passing through villages and roads that can have only one car on them.

Returning was more fun as I was not time bounded. Enjoying the scenery I realised that villages are really fun to travel. Even though, living in them is out of question.

I wish I had a camera that time. It would have been an amazing experience to show. Even though I was sleep-deprived and hunger-stricken. Now it is a memory waiting to be downsized by the brain during memory crunch.
